    Top Cam is an intra-oral camera for use in a dental surgery. The hand piece contains a portable hard disk which stores the images, and allows image management. Pictures are saved as a jpeg file and therefore can be incorporated into most dental surgery software operating systems.

    CONNECTING THE CAMERA
    Connect the camera to the wire making sure the pins are aligned correctly. Connect the 6.5v power supply to the wire. Connect the yellow AV from the wire to either your TV yellow AV socket or your computer yellow AV connection (eg Win TV card or Hub). Switch the power on. The unit is now ready for operation.



    TO EDIT IMAGES ON OR DOWNLOAD IMAGES TO A COMPUTER
    1. Connect the camera hand piece with the USB cable to the computer.
    2. The Top Cam is Plug&Play for Windows 2000 & XP. For windows 98 and earlier you will need to install the driver provided on the CD first.
    3. Under the "my computer" you will see a "portable HD" folder. Click on this folder to view all the image files in the camera hand piece.


    TO TAKE IMAGES
    1. Press SNAP to use the camera or wake up the camera.
    2. Aim on the object to view (keep the camera at least 0.5cm away from the object). The picture shown on screen is what will be saved.
    3. Steady the camera and Press SNAP to take a photo, Do not move the camera until the "beep" sound is heard, indicating the image capture is complete. Keep the camera steady whilst taking the picture to prevent the picture being blurred.
    4. You are now ready to take the next photo.



    VIEWING PICTURES
    1. Picture’s number will be shown on right up on screen
    2. Press MODE to alter screen frame between SINGLE and QUAD mode. The number is the marked picture while in QUAD mode.
    3. Press UP to move record forward.
    4. Press DOWN to move record backward.


    TO DELETE PICTURES
    Press MODE for 5 seconds to start "Delete" mode. A popup menu will appear with the options:
         Exit - exit the delete mode
         Delete One - delete only the picture shown on screen
         Delete All - delete all pictures
         Format - format the drive
    The picture numbers will skip deleted pictures. The numbers remain the same on stored pictures. Pictures will not be saved when the Hard Disc is full.


    POWER SAVING
    The super white LED’s will turn off and the unit will enter sleep mode to save power when the unit is not used for 90 seconds, if it has not been turned off. The last picture will be shown on screen while the camera is in sleep mode. Press SNAP to wake up the camera for continued use.


    WARRANTY
    This instrument is warranted for its designated use, against original defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Repairs necessitated by misuse or dismantling the equipment or repairs with parts not provided by the manufacturer are not covered by this warranty.
